How we protect you

Your online security is important to us. That's why we are continually reviewing the techniques we use to create a secure online banking environment.

We also work closely with industry groups - we are currently participating in the Australasian Consumer Fraud Taskforce's (ACFT) Scamwatch campaign. Check out the Scamwatch website to find out how the banking industry is working together to address online security.


Secure Connection

  • Establishes a secure connection when you log on to our online banking.
  • We use 128-bit SSL Encryption - the highest commercially available standard in Australia.


Firewalls

  • Protect your information by blocking unauthorised network traffic.
  • Unauthorised access to our systems and your information is not possible.


Continuous Monitoring

  • We have dedicated teams in place to proactively detect signs of financial fraud.
  • Our Customer Help Centre is available 24/7 on 1300 440 749, so you always have a person to talk to if you have any concerns.


Online Banking Timeout

  • Online banking times out automatically after 15 mins of inactivity.
  • For maximum security, click on the Secure Logoff button in the top right corner when leaving your computer.


Industry Working Groups

  • We work closely with the government and industry bodies to establish best practice in eCommerce security.
  • Close links with the Australian High Tech Crime Centre (AHTCC), a federal agency tasked with fighting the latest online threats
