Logging On

What is your Personal Access Number?

Your Personal Access Number also known as your PAN Number is an 8 digit number that you use to log on with. 

It can be found in your initial welcome letter, standard blue debit card or bank statements. 

If you are still unable to locate your Personal Access Number (PAN Number) then please do not hesitate to contact our Bankwest Contact Centre on 1300 440 749 or visit a Bankwest Customer Service Centre.

What is your Secure Code?

When you first register for Bankwest Online Banking, you are provided with a small yellow rectangular envelope consisting of a 4 digit number that you will use as your initial Secure Code. 

When you first log onto Bankwest Online Banking you will be prompted to change this 4 digit number into your own password.  Your Secure Code is now a password you have created between 6 to 10 characters consisting of numbers and letters. 

If you can not remember your Secure Code then please do not hesitate to contact our Bankwest Contact Centre on 1300 440 749.

Logging On for the First Time.

Before you begin and log on for the first time, please kindly have your Personal Access Number (PAN Number) and Secure Code ready.

  • In the top right side of any Bankwest web page under Online Services, please kindly select Personal Banking from the drop down box
  • Once the new logon page has launched, please enter in your Personal Access Number (PAN Number) and Secure Code into the relevant fields.
  • Click the Log On Button
  • Enter a new Secure Code between 6 to 10 characters consisting of numbers and letters, then Confirm your new Secure Code
  • Click the Change Secure Code Button
  • Congratulations you have successfully logged on and your account balances will now be displayed. 

Error Messages

"Your logon attempt was unsuccessful. Please try again."

This occurs when you have entered in your Personal Access Number (PAN Number) and/or Secure Code incorrectly.

Please re-enter your Personal Access Number (PAN Number) and Secure Code details to try again.

"Access is denied. Please contact Bankwest Support."

This occurs when you have entered in your Personal Access Number (PAN Number) and/or Secure Code incorrectly several times and you have been locked out. 

Please kindly contact our Bankwest Contact Centre on: 1300 440 749 where one of our friendly staff will be able to reset your secure code and assist you with logging on.

"Your browser must be set to allow cookies in order to use Internet Banking."

This occurs when you have cookies disabled in your web browser and you will not be able to logon until you have enabled cookies.

Caps Lock Warning

The Secure Code field is case sensitive which means that if you have the Caps Lock key turned on, this may cause you to enter your password incorrectly.  Hence please ensure you have your Caps Lock key turned off, if you do not need it when entering in your Secure Code.
